Algolia is looking for a DevOps engineer to join the AI team. You will be responsible for architecting, maintaining & monitoring the infrastructure supporting our AI services. You’ll be auditing the existing tooling and Google Cloud projects but also recommend strategies to scale our permissions management and overall tooling hosted in our go mono-repository.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF :

  • Architect, maintain and monitor the infrastructure powering all the services of the AI products offering.
  • Evaluate performance of current and future systems, both software and hardware.
  • Automate, secure and scale our infrastructure with industry standards tooling.
  • Participate in the design of new systems.
  • Work with other teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve high impact issues.
  • Team up with the SRE team in charge of the global infrastructure of Algolia.
  • Audit and improve our access control policy.

    • YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working on pipelines & APIs dealing with large volumes of data.
  • Experience with Google Cloud.
  • Experience in automating infrastructure deployment.
  • Experience with deploying access control strategies.
  • Strong experience with Terraform.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Design and operation of robust distributed systems.
  • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices.
  • Proven experience in a very fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions and take ownership for them.
  • EU work permit.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills required.
  • Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).

    • NIICE TO HAVE :

  • Experience in Go
  • Experience with Bigtable & BigQuery
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and query authoring (SQL)
  • Experience with Postgres
