Job description
The new Airbus UpNext demonstrator will pave the way to more autonomous flight capacity by integration of new innovative bricks including computer vision.
This position comes with a CDI-C contract for 3 years, the timeline of the demonstrator.

By developing a software architecture, you will make design choices, frame technical standards and experience in leading a diverse and multi-national team.
You will:
Organize and dispatch the tasks to the software developer team, control the progress, and respect the procedure
Set-up the development environment and define the associated tools, processes and methods.
Participate to the avionic architecture, especially as regard as the core computer, and the vision based computer
Participate in the integration of these components on the flight-lab, ensuring the adequate connections between the different techno bricks
You are accountable for the technobrick(s) maturation up scaling and the formal assessment
Guide and boost the team

What you bring:
Engineering degree with an innovation flavor
Capability to handle both technical and programmatic aspects of SW development, integration & delivery
Ability to create and manage a SW team, define and promote of development standards
Embedded & traditional (bare metal & Linux-based) software developer mastering : C/C++ programming language, shell script and Python, version control system (Git, SVN)
General knowledge of the following SW concepts: POSIX, GPU programming, Linux kernel, drivers, library (OpenCV, cuda, ROS, PCL, Wampcc), continuous integration & delivery (Docker, Jenkins)
Good knowledge of avionics and non-avionics HW & SW communication standards: Ethernet, AFDX, ARINC429, UART, CAN, DDS
Capability to be hands-on and develop of critical elements if necessary
General understanding of functional subjects to allow support of functional SW engineering and design
Knowledge of AGILE-Scrums methodology would be a plus
Able to juggle the needs and demands of the project and team
Problem-solving & conflict resolution

Ideally a background in electric, multi-physic engineering
