Founded in 2014, Karos is the European leader of carpooling for daily commutes. By changing at scale the way people commute, Karos is a major actor of the ecological transition.
The company now operates public carpooling services for more than 100 local authorities and 600 employers, with over 1.5 million users and rollouts across 6 European countries.
Since 2024, Karos is a mission-driven company (French “Société à mission”).
Our mission, written into our bylaws:
✨ We are creating a new way of carpooling that is desirable and efficient, wherever it is useful, in order to improve everyday life and accelerate the ecological transition. As a trusted partner of key players in the territories, we are fighting to make carpooling a new standard for everyday transport. ✨
Our impact is greatest where alternatives are lacking: daily commutes by private car.
It is on these trips — mainly home–work, peri-urban and rural — that we are committed, working with public and private stakeholders to change habits at scale.
Today, we are 100 team members, mainly based in France and Germany, and we are rapidly expanding across Europe (🇫🇷 🇩🇪 🇪🇸 🇨🇭 🇮🇹 🇳🇱).

You'll be working on

At Karos, our mission is to make short-distance carpooling a new form of public transport.

Helping users install lasting mobility habits is one of our strongest growth levers. We believe user engagement is not simply about sending messages—it’s about delivering the right experience to the right user at the right moment.

Over the last few years, we’ve built the foundations of a powerful lifecycle platform with Braze, event tracking and a clear lifecycle strategy. We’re now looking for someone who can turn these foundations into impactful user experiences.

As our CRM & User Lifecycle Manager, you will join the Product team and work closely with the User Engagement Product Manager. This is an individual-contributor role in which you will help design, build and continuously optimise the communication layer of the Karos user experience.

As part of the Product team at Karos, your responsibilities will include:

CRM and marketing automation: Build, launch and maintain automated journeys in Braze across push notifications, in-app messages, email and SMS. Thoroughly test user journeys before launch, monitor their execution and maintain a consistently high level of quality across our lifecycle platform.
Enablement & collaboration: Build & maintain ready-to-use documentation and good practices that make Product & Ops teams autonomous. Work closely with Product teams to make lifecycle communications part of the overall product experience.
Lifecycle journey optimisation: Analyse user behaviour and identify communication opportunities or friction points across onboarding, activation, repeat usage, retention and reactivation. Turn these insights into improved user journeys leveraging behavioural segments and personalised experiences. Leverage AI to increase your efficiency and experimentation to design, launch and analyse A/B tests covering content, timing, channel, audience and journey structure.
Performance analysis: Monitor activation, engagement and retention indicators, evaluate the impact of lifecycle initiatives and turn results into actionable recommendations.
