You'll be working on
As Performance & Strategy Manager, you will work directly with Clara, our co-founder, as part of pony’s founders’ office. You will own performance and objective management across the company.
You will run the performance cycles: set company objectives in line with financial targets, cascade them to teams and individuals, and calibrate the related incentives. You will also improve the systems we run on, for example project management tools or issue tracking systems. A key focus will be making performance management AI and agent led. You will also own and facilitate pony’s main governance systems and its forums and rituals (MBR, Excom, board meetings, all-hands).
Pony operates a fleet of 15,000 e-bikes and scooters across 24 European cities delivering millions of rides every month. As we grow, our challenge is to build an organisation that keeps pace with the business and ensures high standards execution in every team.
Main responsibilities
Own the performance system end-to-end : run each performance cycle with department Heads, ensure objectives and KPIs accurately are structured properly and feed into company objectives. Continuously improve the performance system.
Build and run our AI-enabled business operating system: design and implement a new way of operating that is AI first. This includes company knowledge bases, project management tools, performance trackers, key processes and AI workflows. Determine how we ensure AI has access to up-to-date quality company context, modernise/agentify how teams plan and execute work, and connect objectives and KPIs to everyday execution. Lead the rollout across the company : create new company wide rituals and routines accordingly, establish operating standards, drive adoption. The goal is to let the company operate at an efficiency, speed and level of operating standards never seen before.
Run the company’s governance system : own the design and operation of every key company forum, from Monthly Business Review, Weekly Excom to All-Hands. Each forum has a purpose : you ensure they are conducted with intent from participants with sharp agenda and all have well-defined expected output. You drive preparation across teams, challenge topics, facilitate effective discussions, document decisions and owners and keep the follow-up trail. Regularly assess, redesign or remove forums.
Board relations : partner with our founders in their communication with investors, including preparation of the board pack, the materials and analysis behind, working closely with Finance.
Performance culture : strengthen a culture of performance by making key metrics, priorities and outcomes visible across the company, connecting results to the work happening every day, and creating a shared focus on what drives business results.
