Our take

As M&A deals continue to increase in both size and frequency, key stakeholders have been actively seeking tools to streamline their work. Datasite emerges as a solution. Having transitioned from its original focus on communications, the company now offers a suite of SaaS products tailored for M&A professionals, serving approximately 75% of the leading legal firms in the field. Benefiting from its extensive experience in the industry, Datasite has successfully transformed into a more contemporary business entity. And it has also introduced highly acclaimed AI-powered technology to assist in deal preparation, asset marketing, and facilitating buy-side acquisitions. With significant global expansion and strategic acquisitions, Datasite remains committed to enhancing its platform capabilities. Notably, in March 2023, it unveiled Datasite Cloud, specifically designed to streamline every aspect of the dealmaking process within a unified platform.

You'll be working on

  • Own complex product initiatives from early discovery through launch and iteration
  • Help define how AI workflows and agents become a natural, useful part of the Grata experience—not simply features layered onto existing workflows
  • Design experiences that transform large amounts of proprietary and complex data into information users can easily discover, understand, and act on
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, explore opportunities, and shape product direction—not simply execute requirements
  • Lead user research, customer interviews, usability testing, and other discovery activities to understand customer needs and validate solutions
  • Translate complex workflows and information into clear, intuitive product experiences
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished production-ready UI in Figma
  • Use AI and code-based prototyping tools to rapidly explore ideas, test interactions, and communicate product concepts
  • Partner closely with engineers throughout implementation to ensure a high level of quality and polish
  • Contribute to and help evolve our design system, interaction patterns, and overall product experience
  • Provide thoughtful critique and mentorship to other designers and help raise the quality bar across the design team
  • Help maintain and evolve the usability and visual quality that have made design an important part of Grata’s product and brand
  • Advocate for our customers and strong design practices across the broader product organization

Benefits

  • Culture and benefits built around work-life balance
  • Extensive resources to support physical and mental health
  • Employee assistance program
  • Generous retirement plans
  • Incentives for referring new colleagues

We're looking for

  • Excellent Figma skills, including prototyping and working with design systems
  • A collaborative mindset and comfort giving and receiving direct, thoughtful feedback
  • Strong product thinking and an ability to balance customer, business, and technical considerations—not just the interface
  • A portfolio demonstrating excellent UX thinking, interaction design, and visual/UI craft across shipped products
  • Strong experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing and translating findings into product decisions
  • 7+ years of experience designing digital products, primarily within in-house product organizations
  • An ability to simplify complex information and workflows without sacrificing their underlying power
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, including the ability to explain the reasoning behind design decisions
  • Experience using modern AI prototyping tools to explore and communicate product ideas
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers and Engineers in an iterative product development environment
  • Experience independently leading complex projects from discovery through delivery
  • Experience designing AI-powered products, agents, or workflows
  • Experience designing complex B2B SaaS, financial technology, data-heavy products, or professional tools
  • Experience with code-based prototyping tools such as Figma Make, Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0, or similar
  • Experience designing products that help users navigate, understand, or make decisions from large or complex datasets
  • Experience mentoring other product designers
  • Experience contributing to or evolving a mature design system
