Our leadership in Android technology underpins this business transformation and we are recruiting an Android Ecosystem Manager, to lead the effort to recruit Android app developers and solution providers, whose applications will be enabled on our ‘Axium’ range of devices, the world’s most advanced Android payment terminals.

 OB PURPOSE/MISSION

 

As the owner of Ingenico’s Android app ecosystem engagement, you will be responsible of identifying and onboarding Android application developers and solution providers whose propositions are relevant to our ecosystem, building and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships. In this role, you will connect with, inspire, and educate Android App partners on the power of Ingenico’s Axium platform by delivering value through innovative programs, events, hackathons, developer tools, and technical thought leadership.

 

Our ecosystem includes software providers and other value-added services (VAS) providers relevant to Worldline TSS clients and their merchant customers. Your work will help to increase our Android value proposition and our ability to verticalize and monetize our offering while positioning Worldline TSS as the most trusted technology partner enabling the ecosystem in the new world of payment acceptance

We are looking for an individual with a solid track record of building, leading, and growing app community programs together with a strong knowledge of developer engagement processes and monetization models. You have a deep understanding of the developer audience, speak their language, and understand the key success factors of rolling out this type of program.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive the business execution of the Ingenico Android Ecosystem Program:

  • Identify, approach, and recruit Android app provider through direct engagement and lead generation activities (75 developers onboarded per year)
  • Identify relevant platforms of engagement (industry exhibitions, conferences, first-party meetups, hackathons, webinars, annual developer conferences, advisory boards, and other bespoke events) and represent Ingenico at these events to maintain continuous engagement with the community
  • Oversee all Android developer content marketing materials and collaterals.
  • Close commercial and legal agreements with targeted app developers
  • Drive the involvement and continuous alignment of relevant Worldline TSS teams to onboard developers on time and on target
  • Support developers to create use cases that can be used to promote apps to Ingenico clients
  • Build and maintain a central database of prospective and already-integrated developers and disseminate information to Ingenico stakeholders in key targets counties
  • Deliver effective presentations and business reviews to management as required

Support the continuous improvement of the Ingenico Android Ecosystem Program:

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and best practices in developer ecosystem growth
  • Help improve the developer onboarding experience by working with the product and engineering teams to ensure the availability of best-in-class developer support processes, documentation, and tools 
  • Recommend models for the distribution of apps and the associated monetization and revenue share

Competency/Skill requirements:

  • 5+ years of building, leading, and growing app community programs
  • Experience in Developer Relations/Developer Advocacy and related community work within the Android ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of Android technology
  • Ability to work efficiently in global and decentralized organizations
  • Ability to work efficiently in or with fast-paced developer environments
  • Experience in digital payments is a plus
  • Experience defining product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies is a plus
