After having grown up in Africa, Germany and France, Benoit started his career at the world’s leading lift manufacturer. He worked for them during 10 years, 2 of which were in France and 8 were in China. In his last position, he was in charge of services in Northern Asia. 

Then he headed to Harvard, where the first ideas for WeMaintain, and how to overhaul the value chain in the professional building maintenance sector, were born.

Having grown up in Marseille, Aïssata started her career working as a salesperson in luxury furniture. She then joined WeMaintain as the right-hand woman of the CEO and COO, where she discovered the difficulties and strategic complexities of the company. Both professionally and personally, she really enjoyed and learnt a lot during this first year at WeMaintain.

Today, Aissata’s role has developed and she is now Junior Operations Manager. She acts as the link between the independent mechanics and WeMaintain’s clients. What she enjoys in these new responsibilities is the challenge of working with the different actors of WeMaintain’s value chain.

After an early career in American Football and some time spent being a professional poker player which allowed him to travel a lot, Gaultier decided to join Ecole 42 in order to expand his knowledge base.

He then entered the world of Parisian startups and worked for more than 2 years at Crème de la Crème as Full-stack Software Engineer, followed by Lead Developer.

Today at WeMaintain, he is Lead Front. His team’s mission is to develop and maintain the three main products: the mobile app for the technicians, the web platform for the clients and the internal admin tools.

WeMaintain: we rise by lifting others.

A startup in lift maintenance…not very exciting? In fact, yes it is!

The market (35 billion USD, a profit margin of more than 40%, 4 historical actors) and the current level of service (a lack of reactivity and transparency, overworked mechanics) leaves space for a new model. The team is at the beginning of an adventure which will see them become a major actor in European Proptech.

Their model is revaluing the mechanics’ work, adding a lot of new technology, and allowing their clients to obtain a quality service.

They provide the mechanic with a mobile app which allows them to work autonomously and be directly in contact with the client, and allows the client to stay up to date on all work done on their lifts.

Created in 2017, WeMaintain has already raised 8.8M€ (with Idinvest Partners and Raise Ventures). Their solution has been adopted by co-ownership associations and big accounts (Groupama, Allianz, AG2R- LA MONDIALE…) on numerous office buildings.

The three founders, Jade, Tristan and Benoit, started their careers abroad and have returned to France to seize this opportunity. Today, they are accompanied by a diverse team of people (devs, sales, ops, lift experts, old corporate bosses), as they know it is variety that creates a high performing team.
