As Vendavo expands into new product and market segments, we are looking for a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer (QA) to ensure quality and deliver value of the customer solution by understanding & clarifying customer requirements. The QA Engineer will be testing using a mix of manual and automated techniques and ensuring the whole team understands their responsibility for quality. The QA Engineers are known as the champions of quality leading to continuous value on a project driving the whole team towards a quality first mind-set and customer orientated thinking

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will

• Contribute to creation of test strategy
• Requirements clarification
• Help other team members understanding common teams’ responsibility for the quality
• Create test schedule, test plan, and test cases
• Performance of all aspects of verification, including feature testing, functional testing, exploratory testing, regression testing, and bug fix verification
• Help automating tests
• Support customer test activities
• Contribute towards innovative ideas to develop best practices in quality assurance
• Work effectively within geographically distributed team

What you need to be successful in this role

• QA experience in manual testing on business application software (Sales / Distribution / Costing / Pricing are preferred)
• Strong testing skills (functional and exploratory testing)
• Basic ability to read and understand code with focus on early defect prevention
• Experience in writing SQL queries
• Experience with Issue tracking/Project Management tool (JIRA, Rally etc.)
• Decent knowledge of a spreadsheet tool (Excel)
• Good knowledge of English
• Good communication and customer success orientation
• Common sense
• Being to learn fast and play well in a team
• Experience with a source control tool (Git, Subversion etc.) is advantage
• Experience with Agile is advantage
• Experience with working in a geographically distributed team is advantage
• Test automation experience is advantage
• Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language is advantage

Requirements

• Experience in writing SQL queries
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of Software Quality domain
• At least theoretical experience with Agile methodology
• Good English skills (B2)
