Urban Campus continuously seek additional buildings to create new coliving and BTR campuses in up-and-coming neighborhoods in European main cities. Through partnerships with real estate investors, buildings can be acquired or let. The role of the Development Manager is to source these opportunities, secure the buildings, negotiate attractive economic/legal terms and support the transformation into operational campuses.

This is a demanding position with significant responsibilities and workload that required strong organization and negotiation skills. We therefore look for a highly talented and motivated individual with demonstrable experience. The position is based in Paris.

Here is what will be expected from you, as a Business Development Manager:

Business development

• Source, identify, negotiate and deliver new buildings to be operated as urban campuses, in France and in other European territories
• Build strong relationships with developers, investors, landlords, brokers, municipalities and other real estate professionals.
• Market Urban Campus and coliving to the real estate community.
• Execute real estate acquisitions of assets to be redevelopped into Urban Campus coliving residences, in partnership with capital partners.

Real estate opportunities analysis and development

• Analyze opportunities to evaluate operational and financial viability
• Review and improve the real estate product
• Establish operational budgets, recommend improvements and provide creative solutions to close development deals
• Refine strategy in collaboration with Urban Campus’ founders
• Supervise negotiations of development agreements (including legal documentation).
• Lead progress of development deals from identification to hand-over, from first sketches to opening, in collaboration with project management and operations teams

Here are the must: 🎯

• 1 to 2 years of demonstrable experience in leading real estate investment, asset management or development. Please note that you will be asked to present and discuss your track record during the interview process. Responsibilities will be adjusted to experience.
• Analytical and result-driven
• Highly organized, resourceful and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Business school degree or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Complete fluency in French and English. Any other European language a plus.
• A good mix of common sense and humour!
