The South African entity of Swissquote is a financial services provider supporting independent asset managers, acting as a custodian and broker, and offering financial intermediaries a dedicated platform to manage their clients and process stock market orders. Our focus is on international/offshore investments. We are a small, dynamic team looking for a committed addition to join our journey. 

We are seeking a Compliance Assistant to join the Corporate Onboarding team at Swissquote South Africa (Pty) Ltd. 

You will be involved in a variety of administrative and compliance-related tasks, including: 

  • Compiling account-opening documentation for complex structures such as trusts and companies and providing it to prospective clients, including international trust and fiduciary firms, 

  • Conducting online due diligence searches using specialist tools as well as open-source platforms, 

  • Providing administrative support to the Compliance team, 

  • Assisting with various compliance controls, such as policy reviews and audits, 

  • Contributing to regulatory and compliance projects, 

  • Supporting the Corporate Compliance team in analyzing account-opening requests from international corporate clients (e.g., active/passive entities, trusts, collective investment schemes, financial institutions, external asset managers) from an AML/CTF and sanctions perspective, including FATCA and CRS considerations, 

  • Taking meeting minutes, 

  • Organizing folders, documents, and files for the onboarding team, 

  • Collaborate closely with the Compliance team in Switzerland to ensure strong alignment, effective communication, and coordinated workflows. 


Požadavky na pozici

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience, preferably in Law or Economics, 

  • Previous experience in the financial or fiduciary services industry, 

  • Comfortable working in an international environment, 

  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in international compliance, 

  • Excellent administrative skills (document organization, compiling files, working with checklists), 

  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy when completing or reviewing documentation, 

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently under deadlines, 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and enjoyment in interacting with people in a global setting, 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage), 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and document-management systems, 

  • Strong team spirit and ability to thrive in a multicultural, dynamic, and technology-driven environment, 

  • South African citizenship or a valid work permit.
