After a first experience in the defence sector, Etienne joined the world of advertising, where he got a taste for Scala programming and the world of start-ups. Three years later, he decided to quench his thirst for knowledge by diving into the world of finance. This is how he joined Opensee in 2017. Initially a developer, he seized the opportunity to become a Backend Techlead. Today, he thrives in this role halfway between technical and product.

After graduating in computer engineering, this water sports and football enthusiast joined CentraleSupélec to specialise in project management. His first experience was in a consulting firm at BNP Paribas. Since 2019, Hoël has been supporting Opensee customers as a product manager. His motto: to act as a link between customers and development teams to translate their functional needs into product features.

Quantitative Analyst yesterday, turned Customer Success today, Lauriane is one of the many talents at Opensee who possesses a sharp understanding of the product and business needs, which are key to developing necessary solutions. With a masters degree in Probability and Finance, it is thanks to her appetite of human resources and her curiosity that this badminton enthusiast made a winning backhand by switching from the conception of mathematical models to client relations and interactions.

A philosopher at heart, one can say that Shahin likes to understand and discover. After a 4-year thesis on the semantics of functional programming languages with effects, he immersed himself in the use of functional languages in backend development, notably Scala (with the Typelevel ecosystem), Haskell and Elixir. Today, this lover of photos, calligraphy and Mario Kart, accompanies the Opensee teams to find solutions and distributed data processing architectures that will give finance its letters of nobility!

US, Switzerland, Luxembourg… Edouard then decided to settle in the UK for 15 years, working for JPMorgan where he combined his legal and financial background with his keen interest for data, in various functions: Market Risk, valuation, market data contract negotiations, and most recently as Business Manager for the CIB AI & ML department. He moved back to France in late 2020 before joining Opensee to develop the pre-sales function.

Even though Gaëlle has daily triathlete activities, they do not only take place during practice! Opensee is the second start-up she has been a part of, where she was tasked with the creation and development of the Human Resources department. She took this opportunity to tackle new challenges, this time in the financial sector for an international company. Her previous experiences within larger institutions, such as Roland Berger and Fifty-Five, have enabled her to acquire important and necessary skills, which help her have an exhaustive view of challenges a company encounters during its life cycle. From redesigning existing processes to the implementation of new ideas, she flourishes in the versatility of her missions, developing the human resources department in the step of Opensee’s growth rate.

Having combined a literary background with a business school diploma, there was no reason to expect that this French art and gastronomy enthusiast exiled in London would join a fintech specialised in risk management. Elena's path crossed that of Opensee when she was looking for new challenges to leverage her past experiences in operational and strategic marketing in a new and exciting sector. Opensee - formerly ICA - was about to rebrand and consolidate its marketing and communication strategy and called on Elena to handle it. Opensee could benefit from Elena's creativity to start this new phase of development with a renewed image, reflecting its dynamism and this new momentum built with its clients.
