BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE

Your role will be within Omnicom global team for our big automotive client, based in Prague. You will represent OMG Global Business within this agency set-up, as a key member of the Strategy Team.
The OMG global team is responsible for developing the global communication and channel strategies for all the major model launches, brand campaigns and communication of client’s engagement platforms.

You will be part of the Strategy team led by Global Strategy Director, and work alongside a fellow Strategy Manager on the same level as yourself.

You will have two main responsibilities:

  1. Developing communication channel strategies and campaign guidelines for global campaigns
  2. Supporting Market Engagement team in sharing the global strategies to local markets

Your campaign-led task is to unlock consumer insight and develop powerful communication channel strategies, which inspire fantastic local market planning and ideas. You will create a communication architecture for key campaigns, framing; audience, comms tasks, channels, media behaviour and role for messaging for each campaign. You will also work alongside our creative agency partner to help develop the creative idea across all campaign phases, through innovation and the best use of media. The end result being a campaign package of comms strategy, communication channel guidelines and suit of creative assets that can be delivered to markets to deliver industry leading campaigns locally.

In delivering the communication strategy and guidelines to markets you will work alongside the Global Market Engagement team. Ensuring that OMG planners from local markets fully understand the global approach and supporting them in their local strategy development

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

We’re looking for an experienced media agency strategist with around 4-5 years’ experience. The Strategist will be responsible for supporting the team in comms planning across our category assignment and will need to build strong relationships with client‘s customers and creative & digital agency counterparts.

This is a very fast moving environment working with challenging and demanding clients. Our delivery must be brilliant and also practical/deliverable at a local market level.

A knowledge of the auto category is desirable (but not mandatory).

QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE

• 4-5 years’ experience in media strategy development
• Strong on strategic thinking and well organised.
• A thorough understanding of all marketing communication channels (including TV, digital and content; Paid/Owned/Earned channels).
• Passionate advocate of consumer insight driven strategy.
• Able to deal confidently with clients and creative agency counterparts.
• A collaborative team player who can work with the OMG Global Team to help further develop our product and delivery.
• A clear and confident communicator – able to work as a valued consultant to our global clients
• Fluent in English
• Stay in Prague (or commuting to Prague each week)
