About the role:

LumApps is seeking to add a Migrations Engineer to our current team of 4. This individual will work predominantly with our customers as well as across multiple internal teams to develop, execute, test, and improve the process of data migration into LumApps. As the Migrations Engineer for LumApps you will provide your technical expertise and product knowledge to ensure successful project implementations and project migrations, working closely with customers and Professional Services teams as the SME of LumApps’ APIs, LumApps’ technical functionality and integrations, and LumApps’ migration expert. This position will allow you to work side by side with our customers to define technical expectations and to address technical roadblocks.

What you will do:

• Work with LumApps’ customers, internal stakeholders and partners to migrate data into LumApps using REST APIs (extract - transform - load)
• Improve LumApps’ data migration tools (Python code) to meet new business requirements from our customers
• Responsible for maintaining and improving python code, collaborating occasionally with other developers
• Responsible for the QA, execution and delivery of data migrations into LumApps
• SME of the LumApps’ APIs and LumApps’ SDK 
• Help create and maintain new tools that will allow Customers to migrate data into LumApps from any source (export, CSV, XML, JSON, APIs)
• As part of the Professional Services Org (PSO) you will have to occasionally meet with customers to gather migration requirements and/or to explain migration strategies to non-technical audiences

What we are looking for:

• 2+ years of practical experience as a Migrations Engineer, or Software Developer.
• 2+ years of experience reading/debugging/writing/maintaining code (Python)
• 2+ years of experience with REST APIs; proficient in ETL processes 
• Experience with SQL Databases (Postgres)
• Experience with Python libraries like html2text, beautifulsoup, pdfkit, redis, requests, httpx, xmltodict, pypandoc, or willingness to learn
• Experience with Flask
• Comfortable working with Google’s set of collaboration tools (Workspace)
• Ability to work in multiple projects, with different deliverables and deadlines
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working experience with Angular, React.js, Vanilla JavaScript is a plus
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
• System administrator level knowledge of Linux is a plus
