General description.

Providing data protection advise on a daily basis across the organisation, this role will be key to
ensuring data protection compliance within the business and assessing data protection risks.

Responsibilities.

  • Supporting the business on a daily basis by providing legal and technical advice, knowledge and expertise in Data Protection and Privacy and related areas.
  • Carrying out Privacy Impact Assessments in new products and services, mitigating data protection and privacy risks facing by the company.
  • Drawing up advisory papers and guidelines related to Data Protection and Privacy.
  • Actively contributing to discussions and meetings on Data Protection and Privacy that the team face.
  • Reporting to Senior Management Functions and Governance Committees.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date Privacy Notices, templates and data protection policies and procedures.
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date Record of Processing Activities.
  • Drawing up and negotiating Data Processing Agreements.
  • Managing and dealing with data breaches and data incidents.
  • Supporting on managing data subject rights.
  • Enhancing internal awareness and communication about Data Protection and Privacy.
  • Designing and conducting internal training sessions on Data Protection and Privacy.
  • Carrying out Data Protection controls and supervisions.
  • Keeping and eye on the latest legislative initiatives. Scanning the horizon for upcoming relevant Data Protection and related regulations.

Key relationships.

  • European Data Protection Team management functions.
  • European Data Protection Team members (located in Spain, France and Italy).
  • Chief Privacy Officer (located in the UK) and UK Data Protection team members.
  • Business areas: IT (including Information Security), Pricing, Analytics, Marketing, Development & Growth and Data Innovation teams.
  • Corporate Governance areas: Risk, Legal & Compliance and Internal Audit.

Požadavky na pozici

Required skills, qualification and experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • Master’s degree in Data Protection, IT law and/or Digital law.
  • High-level proficiency in data protection local and European laws. Knowledge and/or experience in Insurance Law / insurance sector is a plus.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on and relevant working experience on Data Protection & Privacy, within a privacy, compliance or risk role.
  • Ideally, experience in a similar type of role in insurance sector, financial services or similar multinational businesses.
  • Data Protection Certifications (e.g., CIPP) are a plus.
  • Fluency in local language and English.
