In 134 years of the company’s history, Johnson Controls has built a significant position on the global market. The company is a leader in building technology with a strong focus on energy self-sufficiency, safety, and comfort of its users. In the summer, your office is most likely cooled by an air conditioning system, which was designed and manufactured by Johnson Controls. Their products make people’s lives more enjoyable, not only in offices, but also in shopping malls, airports, and anywhere where temperature and other indoor conditions need to be adjusted. In 2019, the company’s efforts were recognized by three awards received from Environmental Leader (EL) and Energy Manager Today (EMT), which recognize the most innovative and successful products, projects, and companies in the fields of energy, environment, and sustainability. The company has been operating in Bratislava since 2007, and it has grown into the largest Johnson Controls regional business center. The company provides complex financial, accounting, and administrative services to internal customers all around the world.

Johnson Controls is a multinational company with global headquarters located in Milwaukee, USA, and offices in more than 150 countries. The company provides services to internal and external customers all over the world. In Bratislava, the office consists of a diverse team of 1,500 people, consisting of 53 different nationalities, and two-thirds of them are women.

Johnson Controls Supports Local Community and Volunteers

Johnson Controls actively cooperates with various non-profit organizations, such as Plamienok, which helps terminally ill children, Cvernovka, working with young artists, and Pontis, leading the fight for responsible entrepreneurship, education, transparency, and inclusion. Each year, the company participates in an initiative called “Our City,” the largest volunteering event in Slovakia. Johnson Controls has created an internal program called JC Cares to support the company employees and their family members who are facing a difficult life situation.

Supporting Employee Development

Johnson Controls supports all its employees with opportunities to expand their competencies, knowledge, and experience. They can select training which they are interested in or speak to their manager to request more information about the options that are available. Employees can access soft skills training, including topics such as negotiation, conflict resolution, stress management, etc. Financial department employees can obtain FIA, ACCA, and DipIFR qualifications. Johnson Controls also offers SAP, Excel, or Power BI training for employees interested in technical skills.
