About the Opportunity:

This person will provide overarching strategic guidance and leadership on Workday to ensure a robust and complete solution. You will translate business and technical requirements into a project and architectural blueprint that achieves desired business objectives, including identifying solutions for Workday product gaps. The Architect will also assist in creating and presenting solutions to influence key decision makers. This position is viewed as a trusted advisor and credible business process and technical expert.

What you will do:

  • You have strong knowledge of Workday with experience of solution architecture.
  • Drive execution of Workday configuration (i.e. HCM Core, Talent, absence, learning, etc.). 
  • Conduct problem analysis, present options, and lead business discussions to drive decisions
  • Hands on configuration of Workday business processes and providing sound solutions and recommending efficient end to end business processes. Consult on the design development, testing, implementation, administration, support and enhancement of Workday Security. 
  • Develop proof of concept based on business requirements and relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts. 
  • Partner with internal technology teams and vendors to ensure alignment of processes to systems and tools. 
  • Act as an active member for the Workday community – stay current with new Workday updates to ensure the latest innovations are activated where they can deliver tactical benefits.
  • Extensive proven experience, certified in multiple modules, demonstrating Workday expertise designing, implementing and supporting Enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements
  • Under general direction execute global HR Technology strategy identifying opportunities for establishing consistency across regions
  • Plan, lead, and facilitate architecture workshops for complex areas of the Workday product such as business processes, compensation, organization structure, security, etc
  • Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
  • Act as the Workday Reporting expert with deep knowledge of current functionality, design concepts, touch points with Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, Talent and Time Tracking, dashboards, embedded analytics, and calculated fields. This includes analyzing moderately complex, system-generated or manual reports and queries; producing and/or overseeing scheduled and ad hoc reporting.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners to understand business processes, goals and gaps; and provide suggestions, reports, and/or solutions while considering impacts across all HR functioning areas.
  • What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in technical, business, or financial discipline
  • Previous experience as a Workday architect/analyst 
  • Workday (or other relevant ERP) project experience required along with cross-domain knowledge
  • Experience defining global HR business and systems strategy, developing system requirements, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
  • Recognizes and tackles difficult conversations proactively. Strong soft skills that facilitate resolution and win-win approach.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to synthesize information into clear, concise messages.
  • Proven consultative skills to guide client and internal discussions to agreement of solutions in a timely manner.
  • Experience implementing complex, practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively and actively lead multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Able to prioritize and organize increasingly complex work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated advanced experience with Excel 
  • Exhibits problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting issues and escalates as appropriate
