Compliance at BlaBlaCar

Managing a product in 22 countries which regroups a new transport mode (carpool) and existing ones (buses) comes with quite some important legal and compliance challenges.

To support our growth we must work on reducing compliance and legal related risks in the new and changing ecommerce/transport legal landscape. You will craft member experiences to mitigate friction introduced by compliance and strengthen the trust that members and authorities have in our platform.

What you will directly contribute to:

• Work closely with legal, engineering, and other internal stakeholders to define and prioritize the highest impact projects to limit our risk and adapt to changing laws across all geographies where BlaBlaCar is present.
• Own, define, and communicate the Compliance Product & Engineering strategy to all involved stakeholders
• Regularly present to company executives on roadmap progress, strategy, and prioritization
• Deploy and follow-up strategy execution among different squads within BlaBlaCar

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful:

• +7 years of experience in product-driven organizations
• Strong acumen for compliance-related topics and/or a previous experience in this field
• Ability to partner with many different teams from engineers to business leaders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Humility and excellent listening skills
• Fluency in English
• Appetite for back-end oriented projects impacting multiple engineering stacks
