About this role
The Country Manager, France will report to the Head of Europe, EU and will support the Berlin based team to manage the France P&L, obsess over the growth of Audible’s services for France and help drive improvements within a matrixed organisation across all levers - Content, Distribution, Product and Marketing.
The successful candidate will develop, build and leverage their holistic understanding of the local customer, the business and its context to collaborate with Berlin based teams to help develop, determine and execute strategies that drive both short and long-term customer and commercial impact.
The Country Manager, France will also carry out media spokesperson activity alongside other Berlin based media approved employees, to foster relationships with collaborators; and help Audible Leadership when discussing public policy matters with government and other external parties.
This role will be supported by a marketplace specific program manager and a content programing manager, and will work alongside and support our Berlin based marketing experts across audience acquisition marketing, brand & content marketing, product & customer lifecycle marketing & our content acquisition & creation leads, to foster growth and help craft a best in class experience for our customers in France.

As Country Manager France, you will…

• Support Berlin based teams to develop, support and implement P&L management (including creation of forecast for review, approval and ownership by the Audible EU team) for the French service.
• Inform the development of the growth of Audible’s services for France with particular focus on influencing marketing and content acquisition/creation decisions.
• Inform the development, execution, and review of strategic, tactical, and operational plans; spanning brand & content marketing, product and customer life cycle marketing and audience acquisition marketing, business development, content acquisition and creation.
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams and individuals, ensuring collaboration and best-practice exchange as well as support alignment on business objectives and priorities.
• Support Audible EU leadership with interaction with local media.
• Advocate for Audible EU leadership on French public policy subjects.
• Domestic and international travel required.

• Professional Degree (Bachelor’s degree, MBA, M.A., M.S., or another post-graduate degree).
• Proven experience in (senior) leadership roles, with a track record of building and growing new digital businesses.
• Experience working within cross cultural teams and leading projects and initiatives across a matrix organization.
• Business fluency in written and verbal French and English.
• Demonstrable background/experience operating in the French cultural and media landscape.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
