To make our ambition to become the European leader on the (very) hot market of BNPL come true, we are expanding our operations in Spain and are looking for a Head of Business Development.

Your mission will be to design and implement the sales strategy for Alma in Spain.

Your main focus will be to build business momentum and progressively build a sales machine: sign the first customers or partnerships, build an ambitious and solid sales team, and create excitement around the growth of Alma in your country.

You will collaborate closely with all central teams, be responsible of your KPIs and report to the General Manager Spain.

Being a Head of Business Development for Spain requires a wide skillset and a high level of energy:

  • Sales appetite: you are passionate about sales, always motivated to get the next deal closed and able to sell slightly in advance a product keeping in mind roadmap prioritization
  • Strong communication skills: you are very at ease when interacting with prospects, clients or any stakeholders of the industry, and you always ensure the appropriate level of reporting internally
  • Team builder: you know where to find and how to attract great talents and they love to work with you
  • Business oriented: you know how to design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands our merchants base in Spain
  • Impact driven: you always keep a close eye on your KPIs and make sure you achieve growth and hit sales targets on time
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you are not afraid of taking sales responsibility for a new company in your market and getting your hands dirty
  • Solution oriented: you create feedback loops with merchants and end consumers in your market to continuously improve our product, discussing with the General Manager and HQ teams on priority features we should roll out

Your experience

  • You have 5+ years experience with proven track record in the payment and/or tech industry
  • You have 5+ years experience in B2B sales and already have managed sales team, with different sales profiles, developing hunting and farming functions
  • You already have worked in an international and multicultural context, and you are fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish

Proces náboru

Because of the importance of this role for Alma, the process is quite intense. Yet, we’ll aim at running it in 2 to 3 weeks max.
