AFP, one of the world’s leading news agencies, is looking for dynamic and highly motivated English-language reporters to join its editorial team in Sydney.
We are seeking journalists capable of producing fast, accurate and vivid copy in formats ranging from breaking news to reportages, features and in-depth angles, telling the story of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific to a global audience.
Working closely with colleagues in text, photo, video and factchecking, you will cover a broad range of stories from the climate crisis, drought and bush fires to political dramas, the pandemic, business, economics and top sports-related developments.
This is a full-time job open to Australian citizens and residents with work visas. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a test and interview.

As a leader in fighting misinformation and disinformation, AFP’s journalists work collaboratively with our global fact-checking network and are offered training in online verification techniques.
