Technical/Behavioral Competency :

• A deep understanding of the various data types, data sources and structures within the Oil & Gas industry

• Knowledge of the Petroleum data model (standardized data model for the Oil & Gas industry)

• Knowledge of key terms, entities, and relationships within O&G industry to define specific domain concepts

• Ability to abstract complex business data requirements into a logical data model

• Understanding on data quality, security, and compliance for data governance

• Exposure to ontology based data modelling for O&G domain

• Clear and effective communication with business users, data engineers, and other stakeholders

• Exposure to data modelling tools & Technologies

• Exposure to ontology languages

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role :

1- Designs and maintains the conceptual, logical and physical data models for O&G domain data product development

2- Works with Data Owners and Data Stewards to refine and optimize the data models

3 - Ensures that the data models align with business requirements and data governance policies

4 - Establish a data quality framework for data quality monitoring, metadata management, and data lineage. May be involved in data cleansing, and data enrichment activities.

5 - Working along side Data Architect to designs overall data architecture for the domain, including data sources, data flows, and data storage

6 - Expected to work on various data modelling tools as per client requirement

7 - Continuous upskilling
